Humanities
History and geography are two subjects we care deeply about at St John's and we want to give children a deep knowledge of the world around them. We have worked with subject experts to develop our curriculum in both subjects and thought very carefully about where and when each subject is taught. In particular, we have incorporated more local study into our learning.
For history, the children will begin each topic with a broad historical enquiry. Each lesson will give them more knowledge, understandng and skills to answer the question so that by the end of the topic they will be able to show off their new understanding of the enquiry question.
