The school day

At St John's we are open for 32.5 hours per week in line with government policy for all schools from September 2023.

It is really important that attendance and punctuality are strong this year for every pupil. Unauthorized absences will be dealt with in accordance with our attendance policy and can result in a fine from the local authority.

Drop off: You must drop your child off at 8.45. The teachers will blow a whistle at 8.45 (KS2) or ring the bell (KS1) and your child can then enter. If you need to drop siblings off the teachers will keep the door open until 8.50. Anyone who does not come in with the rest of the class at 8.45 unless they have a younger sibling will be considered late.

Pick up: You can pick up your child at 3.15. Please pick up youngest children first and then make your way round the back for older siblings.
